If you had told me as a child that I would one day grow up to work with the icon that is Lisa Maffia, I would’ve laughed in your face.
I remember watching Lisa and her So Solid brothers on the MOBOs, Top of the Pops, and other music shows and being in absolute awe.
Here was a Black girl from London, just like me, who was talented, fierce, stunning, and standing firm in her feminine power.
Fast forward to summer 2025, and I had the opportunity to work with Lisa as the Creative Director of a Y2K-inspired shoot that took place in a record shop. I gave Lisa a 2000s-style half-up/half-down ‘do with spikes, applying my trademark HoochTeeStyles vibe.
The shoot was pure vibes! we laughed, was blasting Garage tunes, while reminiscing on that golden era. Lisa was everything I had hoped she would be: warm, encouraging, funny, open-minded, and a proper girl’s girl.
Guys, Im gonna keep it real : this shoot is the result of sweat, hard work, tenacity, fate, and never giving up on your dreams.

Colourworld 2025 I has such a great time!

This was my first hair expo and having the pleasure to speak in the listen and learn room was truly amazing, I spoke about my upbringing, the rising of HoochTeeStyles, sheading light on UK Dancehall culture along with African American Hairstyles.
I then went on to speak about how I incorporated colour into black hair, Going into the different methods I used along with some hair knowledge I have picked up over the years, this experience was memorable to me and the feedback I was receiving people really was in tune with what I had to say that to me was the key goal thankyou so much Colourworld until next year!

I cannot believe this, my second feature in Black Beauty Magazine! i dont think anybody understands how this makes me feel.

The little girl inside me is screaming right now to be in the salon as a child flicking through this same magazine thinking "wooow look how beautiful these women are" getting hair inspo to now MY hairstyles are the hair inspo!
This is truly a major achievement in my career thankyou god!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to be on BeautyMe Podcast hosted by Charisse Kenion ; a vibrant intelligent video journalist with a passion for fashion, beauty and makeup. On my episode we spoke about my passion and love for the 90s hair era and how much influence it has had on Hoochteestyles. This episode really meant a lot to me as i really got to go into depth with speaking on how life was for me as a teenager finding out i had a talent for hair and really diving into that and experimenting!
On the run up to this episode airing myself and Charisse Kenion decided to collab on a shoot taking place in my local beauty supply shop and let me tell you it was Amazing!
